It all comes down to your space, and what you wish to place on your shelf.
Our standard Floating shelf widths are 140mm, 185mm and 285mm. But of course like all of our products you can customise this to suit your space.
A couple of things to consider below;
-
Displayed Items: Consider the items you plan to display on your floating Shelf. If you plan to display smaller items like picture frames, small plants, or cute knick-knacks, then a shallow depth of around 140mm or 185mm may be appropriate. If you plan to display larger items like plates, books, vases, or figurines, then a deeper shelf of around 285mm or more may suit you better.
-
Wall Space: Consider the space where you plan to install the floating shelf. A deeper shelf will stick out further from the wall, so you will need to make sure that there is enough space for the shelf to fit without obstructing the flow of foot traffic or bumping your head.
-
Style: Consider the style of your room and choose timber floating shelves that complements it. If you have a modern room, a sleek and narrow floating shelf may be more appropriate. If your room is more rustic or traditional, a deeper and more substantial floating shelf may be a better fit.
